Dr Hallie Eakin, convenor of the STEPS North America hub, was honoured with a Research Excellence Award for developing the field of vulnerability, adaptation, and resilience to climate change.

Dr Eakin is Senior Sustainability Scientist at the Julie Ann Wrigley Global Institute of Sustainability and Associate Professor, School of Sustainability at Arizona State University.

She received the HDGC (Human Dimensions of Global Change) award at a ceremony on 13 April 2018. The event tied in with the American Association of Geographers Annual Meeting in New Orleans, USA.
