GASAT is an international association concerned with issues arising from interactions between gender and science and technology. The theme of the conference was: Towards Sustainable Development – Achieving Four E’s: Education, Employment, Equality, Empowerment.  Over 300 scientists, educators and researchers attended to discuss education, technology transfer, innovation, and women’s representation in science and technology professions.
