This book is a compilation of 20 articles emerging from researching Zimbabwe’s land reform since 2000. The book is organised into six themes: ‘experiences of land reform’, ‘political contestations’, ‘production and markets’, ‘environmental dynamics’, and ‘land reform in the wider context’. With a new introduction, the book pulls a large body of research into one place for the first time and offers an overview of Zimbabwe’s post-land reform experience based on in-depth research across multiple sites. The book offers important lessons on the changes of agrarian transformation both for Zimbabwe and the wider region.
