Zimbabweland: Zimbabwe’s Land Reform

This long-running project aims to critically examine debates about land reform in Zimbabwe.

Zimbabwe’s land reform since 2000 has been intensely controversial. Yet the debate about what happened, where and to who has too often been shallow and ill-informed, and not based on solid empirical evidence from the field. Based on ongoing fieldwork and analysis, the Zimbabweland website and blog offer a range of material on what happened to people’s livelihoods after land reform.

Books

The books Zimbabwe’s Land Reform: Myths and Realities and Debating Zimbabwe’s Land Reform are available from the Zimbabweland website.

Other resources

The dedicated website has a range of resources, including booklets, articles, press coverage, video material, photos and details of the research.
