Mānoa Mash-up Method

The Mānoa Mash-up method was developed by researchers at the Centre for Complex Systems in Transition (CST) at the University of Stellenbosch to build positive and just visions of the future for given specific contexts.

The methodology is a combination of the Mānoa Method and 3 Transitions Method and involves bringing together participants who have diverse visions of possible futures.

The method involves identifying a number of initiatives, ideas, projects, technologies or experiments (seeds of change) which offer samples/glimpses of what the future could be. The participants consider what would happen if these initiatives were the dominant rather than the ways things are currently.

In the video clip, Almendra Cremaschi of the Universidad Nacional de San Martín describes the method and her experiences using Manoa Mash-up.
