STEPS Centre - return to home

STEPS GM debate in UK Parliament
We believe research, communications, impact, engagement, uptake and capacity development are inter-linked. Through its Impact, Communications and Engagement (ICE) Unit the Centre seeks to integrate these activities in order to improve the effectiveness of its research.

Some of our activities pull together many areas and aspects of the Centre’s work. These umbrella ‘engagement’ activities are detailed in this section, including Innovation, Sustainability, Development: A New Manifesto, our work on Rio+20 and beyond and our many and varied video projects.

In October 2012 the New Manifesto project won the prestigious European Association for the Study of Science and Technology (EASST) Ziman award for “the most innovative cooperation in a venture to promote the public understanding of the social dimensions of science”. Find out more about the award.
