World Day Against Child Labour: thinking about choices and harms

On the UN’s World Day Against Child Labour, a new comment piece argues that the current narrative of ‘child labour’ is too simplistic. The authors argue that current approaches fail, and at times even harm, the young people they are supposed to be serving.

The commentary is published by the programme Action on Children’s Harmful Work on Agriculture (ACHA), alongside a series of short essays by people reflecting on their own experiences of work as children.
